Our Story

A corner of Main Street
that smells like fresh hops & griddle smoke.

Built on the belief that beer deserves a menu as thoughtful as the cellar it comes from. Everything on our plates is touched by what's in our glasses.

Ale Mary's opened on 316 S. Main in 2014 with a simple idea: a genuine beer hall for Royal Oak — long tables, warm wood, and a kitchen that actually cooks with the beer, not just around it.

Our cheese sauces braise in Dragonmead Final Absolution. Our sausages grind in-house. Our fries go through a beer batter that came out of three years of stubborn experimentation. We source Belgian abbey ales, German lagers, and a rotating cast of the best American craft — especially from our Michigan neighbors.

Pull up a stool at the copper-topped bar or claim a booth on the patio. Either way, you'll meet the same people who've been pouring here for a decade. Welcome in.

"The beer cheese burger is the reason I drive in from Ann Arbor. Worth every mile. The Final Absolution on tap next to it? Criminal combo."
